Item Details
A hand-knotted Anatolian wool accent rug. This rug offers a plush pile, and it is rendered in a palette of scarlet, slate, goldenrod, carnation, ivory, black, and wine. The scarlet colored field begins with a hexagonal medallion infilled with a central rosette and leaf forms. It also has horned devices near the corners, along with branched elements. Framing the field is a main meandering border over goldenrod. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
