Hand-Knotted Persian Heriz Wool Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of red, teal, indigo, ivory, golden tan, gray, and orange. The red hued field begins with a large-scale medallion edged with leaves, and ending in pendants. It has ivory grounded spandrels, and features rectilinear vine-work of serrated leaves and floral motifs. Framing the field is a brackets S border over gray. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
