A men’s circa 1870 antique Japanese handwoven cotton patchwork noragi jacket, hand decorated in an ikat design. This indigo jacket features a woven shima (stripe) pattern in light mauve, grey and magenta and includes hoshi-ami (fish net) and ume (plum) style ikat motifs in white. The interior is lined with a patchwork of cotton fabrics presenting striped and checkered patterns.
