A hand-knotted Persian Qashqai wool rug. The rug features three stepped geometric medallions infilled with geometric and floral motifs in a palette of blue, green, red, and cream on a red field. The field is heavily populated with floral motifs and framed within a compound border including a repeating rosette main border on a cream ground. The rug is finished with hand overcast selvedges and natural warp fringe. No visible tags or maker’s marks are present.
