Hand-Knotted Persian Qashqai Wool Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Qashqai wool rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, blue, ivory, orange, green, golden tan, and brown. The red lozenge shaped field begins with three stepped diamond medallions, enclosed by a blue ground. Corner medallions, flower filled vases, rosettes, and other rectilinear designed symbols populate the field throughout. Framing the field is a flowering vine border over ivory. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
