Ethan Allen Grandmother Clock
Item Details
An Ethan Allen grandmother clock featuring a mahogany case in a dark finish with interrupted pediment and round columnar supports to the upper case. The center has a long glass pane for display of the weights, chains, and pendulum and the base has a recessed panel with graduated decorative molding. The clock face is embellished with a scroll and foliate motif in brass with a globe to the top bearing the inscription, ‘Tempus Fugit,’ Roman Numerals and black serpentine hands. The clock face is marked ‘Ethan Allen’ on the face.
