Antique Birch Rocking Chair
Item Details
An antique birch rocking chair featuring a dark stained finish, slightly convex crest rail and rectangular backsplat. This chair has pronounced turned rear stiles and curvilinear arms supported by plainly turned spindles. The round seat of this piece has a woven rush cane seat and rests on round tapering legs with an ‘H’ stretcher. Remnants of an early manufacture’s Conant’s paper label on the backside.
