Antique Art Nouveau Tooled Leather Jemco Frame Bag
Item Details
An antique Art Nouveau tooled leather Jemco frame bag. The bag includes overlock stitching to the single top strap and to the edge of the bag, featuring a foliate tooled leather design to the face. It is topped with a hammered bronze tone frame with a verdigris wash, highlighted by a filigree style adornment to the top with green color glass stones to the ends. It is marked ‘Jemco’ to the frame interior for The J.E. Mergott Co. The suede interior offers a slip pocket to each side and a small leather pouch with a snap closure.
