Item Details
A Victorian Renaissance Revival mahogany bed frame, circa 1880. The frame consists of a two-piece headboard, a foot board, two side rails, and seven later, oak slats. The paneled headboard features an ornate, relief-carved pediment with a scrolled and arched cornice above a winged, figural bust surrounded by scrolled-foliate motifs. Likewise, the foot board has a molded cornice over a relief-carved panel of a green man flanked by a pair of fully-turned, urn-form pilasters. The bed rises on ball feet.
Also included, if desired, is a custom-made mattress and box spring; however, please note that alternate pickup/transfer is not available for mattresses and/or box springs. These are local pickup only.

Condition
- to fair; left side rail with a repair to scrolled molding that meets left stile of headboard; both side rails with stained/discolored areas to ends near foot board; other various scratches, dents, chips, marks, and abrasions consistent with age and use; included bolts don’t seem to screw into frame properly, additional hardware may be required; mattress and box spring with dirt and dust residue, could benefit from a cleaning.
