Hand-Knotted Persian Afshar "Rose" Wool Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian Afshar wool rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cream, red, green, blue, burgundy, pink, orange, brown, and black. The cream colored field features an allover design of rose clusters and curled vine-work, while framed in a main blue grounded floral meander border. Helping frame the field is a pair of stylized meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
