A handwoven Suzani soumak wool runner. This chain stitched rug is rendered in a palette of blue, red, green, golden yellow, tan, and beige. The field has a paneled design with stepped forms, hooked devices, and geometrically designed motifs. Framing the field is a red grounded border designed with foliate motifs and stepped diamonds. Finishing this rug are hand finished edges, wool warp fringe, and a full cotton backing. It is unlabeled.
