Hand-Knotted Pakistani Baluch Wool Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Pakistani Baluch wool long rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of deep red, ivory, blue, orange, and wine. The ivory and blue spotted hued field features a central rectilinear designed pole of scallop edged medallions and branched devices, while enclosed by sawtooth forms along the edges. Framing the field is a main wine grounded chained floret border, as well as ram’s horns meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe with a kilim skirt to the ends. It is labeled ‘Hand Made in Pakistan’.
