Hand-Knotted Persian Tabriz Wool Room Sized Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian Tabriz wool room sized rug. This rug has an ivory colored field beginning with a large scalloped pendant medallion enclosed by layered pale yellow and sage grounded spandrels. The field is ornately designed with floral and foliate sprays radiating from the medallion in hues of deep red, beige, brown, navy, and olive. Framing the field is an ivory grounded main stylized herati border with added blooms, along with floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
