A rare Matt Morgan Art Pottery Company vase signed by N. J. Hirschfeld, circa 1883. This round vase has decoration of swallows and bamboo painted on a cream and dark brown ground with gold luster accents, and rests on three ball feet. Marked to the underside is ‘Matt Morgan Art Pottery Co. Cinti O’ (1883-1885) and signed ‘N.J.H.’ Hirschfeld also did work for the Rookwood Pottery Company.
