Miniature Organ Music Box Humidor
Item Details
A charming early 20th century humidor designed in the form of an organ music box. The piece is made of ebonized wood with brass trim and features celluloid black and white faux keys, two small screened vents to the front, brass side handles and four finely turned wooden feet. The humidor opens from the top with a hinged lid which reveals storage. Two doors also open to the front to reveal storage and match holders to the inside of the doors. Both the lid and doors are released by small buttons to the back of the chest. Inside is a turn key which winds the music box which plays two songs, ‘La Java’ and ‘Barcelona’ as are labeled to the bottom of the chest. The music plays and the lid and doors open automatically when the music is turned on by pressing on the keyboard.
