Item Details

An antique French Sécrétaire à Abattant, possibly for a lady. A marble top rests on a veneered case with ormolu style swag mounts to the top corners, apron, and feet of the cabriole legs. The sides and front doors have chevron and book matched banded veneers with borders. The top door has a ribbon and floral basket marquetry inlay that drops open to interior storage and a leather inlay. The bottom cabinets have urn and flower marquetry inlay, and open to a shelved interior.
