Early Two-Piece Pewter Cupboard, 19th Century

Item Details

An early two-piece pewter cupboard featuring a medium stained finish with a deeply grooved and rounded cornice to the hutch flanked by scalloped sides with two shelves. The base has three small drawers over two cabinet doors, all with round wooden pulls and the piece rests on square legs with a chamfered edge. A line of small clear light bulbs has been attached behind the pediment to the top to illuminate the contents and the plug and switch are located to the verso of the piece. Circa 1820.
