George III Bureau Bookcase, 18th Century
Item Details
A George III bureau bookcase, featuring two piece construction with mahogany veneers and crown molding to the top of the case. The upper portion has two full length glass doors with brass escutcheons, two small, pull out candle slides and three wooden shelves to the interior. It rests on a slant top base that opens to reveal a small central locking cabinet flanked by four compartments over three drawers to either side. The lower case has two small drawers over three full length stacked drawers with brass bat wing bails and escutcheons. This piece has a very simple apron and rests on bracket feet.

Condition
- to fair, scratches to the side and pull outs, scratches, finish wear and water marks to the interior of the desk possible replaced glass panels, were likely mirrored.
