French Louis XV Style Vitrine

A French Louis XV style vitrine cabinet, featuring mahogany construction in a medium dark lacquered finish and gilded accents and appliques throughout. This bowfront case has a scroll and foliate pediment and the upper case, bow appliques and acanthus bands in gilt finish. The three doors are embellished with a gilded framework of swags with foliate appliques running vertically between the glass panels on the case. This piece is further highlighted with gilded foliate and fleur de lis appliques to the base with the vitrine resting on cabriole legs that terminate to stylized whorl feet.
