A hand-knotted Indo-Caucasian wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of salmon, ivory, cobalt, madder red, powder blue, cerulean, mustard, rose, wheat, and black. The salmon colored field begins with three hooked star medallions accompanied by rosettes, ewers, cartouches, and other rectilinear designed symbols. Framing the field is a main ivory grounded border patterned with flowering plants, leaves, and starbursts, as well as floral guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
