Item Details

A collection of pieces of sterling silver flatware primarily in the Fairfax pattern by the William B. Durgin Company, produced between 1911 and 1930. The collection includes twelve dinner knives, twelve butter spreaders, twelve dinner forks, six salad forks, nine teaspoons, twelve iced tea spoons, twelve tablespoons, twelve place spoons, and twelve soup spoons. These are presented with a gravy ladle, a tomato server, and various other serving utensils along with a carving set by the Whiting Manufacturing Company. Each piece features a tapering handle with a chamfered terminal engraved with a script letter ‘B’, and most are hallmarked to their undersides alongside ‘Sterling Pat’d’ marks. This collection, excluding the hollow handled dinner knives and serving utensils, has a total approximate weight of 123.305 ozt.
