Antique French Gilt Brass Mounted Drinking Horn ca. 1880
Item Details
An antique French drinking horn. The curved horn is mounted on a brass pedestal base with scrolling leaves and anthemion in relief resting on pierced scroll feet. Oval medallions alternate with molded berries to the perforated domed lid under a scroll ring handle with a series of intertwining coils under beaded border to the rim of the horn. There are no visible maker’s marks which is typical of wares produced ca. 1880.
