1961 Reds, Mr. Reds Championship Pennant
Item Details
A Cincinnati Reds 1961 Championship pennant. Mr. Red is shown wearing a crown, flipping a baseball into the air with one hand and extending a bat out with the other. ‘Cincinnati Reds Champions 1961’ is in red and white lettering (1961 is in white on a red panel). There are two red tassels affixed to the wider edge of the pennant. The pennant is a soft felt-like cloth. The Reds won the National League pennant in 1961.
Condition
- tip is frayed and has a hole
- a previous owner blackened Mr. Red’s mouth
- holes at the corners of the wide part of the pennant
