Hand-Knotted Indo-Persian Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, indigo, ivory, rose, shades of green and blues. The cranberry colored field begins with a lobed pendant medallion enclosed by coordinating indigo grounded spandrels, while featuring ornately designed flowers and vine-work. Framing the field is a main indigo grounded stylized herati border with added blooms, along with floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
