1945 Rookwood Pottery Ewer

A Rookwood Pottery single handled ewer, date 1945, in an yellow glaze with a detailed Greek scene surrounding the ewer. The ewer depicts a scene of a man and woman to one side with a kneeling robed person and to the other side a man, woman, child and dog. The man entertains the small crowd on the flute with a bird setting atop. Both sides surrounded by branching trees. Traditional flame mark to bottom “XLV” and mold mark ‘6791’.
