Hand-Knotted Persian Malayer Wool Carpet Runner

Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian Malayer wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in an abrash and variegated palette of terracotta, salmon, aqua, sky blue, sand, slate, pine, and sepia. The terracotta hued field features an allover herati design that flows over the stepped diamond medallion and slate grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a main carnation meander border, along with a diamond, and a sawtooth guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled ‘Made in Iran’.
