Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Indo-Persian Heriz room-size rug. This rug features a rust-orange field ornamented with stylized organic motifs in slate blue, navy, ivory, taupe, sage, and sky blue. The rug has a radiating geometric medallion at the center which is surrounded by four large compound spandrels containing similar motifs in coordinating colors. The center field is bound by a primary herati border which is flanked by two identical minor borders, all utilizing the rug’s color palette. The rug is finished with knotted warp fringe at both ends and a single-wrapped selvedge along the sides.
