Item Details

A semi-antique needlepoint Aubusson-style wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a muted palette of cream, wheat, ochre, rose, olive, powder blue, cranberry, slate, and rust. The cream hued field is ornately designed beginning with a central bouquet of flowers framed in an oval foliate wreath accented with ribbons. A main notched border with floral arrangements and scrolling leaves also helps frame the field, along with an architecturally designed guard border. Finishing this rug are hand finished edges and folded ends. It is unlabeled.
