A 19th century Munich school portrait oil painting on panel, possibly painted in the school of very well-listed American artist Frank Duveneck (1848 – 1919). The portrait depicts a man wearing a wide-brimmed hat, a dark shit, and a white ruffled collar. The figure’s face is painted in short, painterly strokes that dramatically capture reflected light and shadow. The painting is unsigned and is unframed, awaiting your choice of presentation.
