Item Details
A George III sterling silver cream jug features the mark of Nathaniel Appleton and Ann Smith, London circa 1770. The baluster body has a scroll handle and is ornately embossed with a decoration of architectural elements, a cow and a bird. The cartouche is engraved with ‘A I G 1772’. The pitcher is marked on the upper edge with the proper hallmarks and maker’s mark. Total approximate weight inclusive of all materials is 2.490 ozt.
