First Range "G Plan" Sideboard by E. Gomme

Item Details

A first range G Plan sideboard by E. Gomme, England, circa early 1960s. This Mid Century Modern African mahogany piece has two bi-fold doors in the center, with three drawers stacked to the left and a drop-front cabinet to the right. The top drawer is divided, and the cabinet has adjustable supports for a shelf. It stands on block wooden legs with brass caps. The drawers and doors have open rectangle brass colored handles. The gold embossed E Gomme stamp, used 1952-65, is in the bottom drawer.
Another G-Plan sideboard, from the Fresco line in late 1960s, is in 18CHI208-047.
