A Napoleon III parcel-gilt and mahogany lit de milieu or daybed frame, circa 1870. The frame consists of two end panels, two rails, and two support slats. The rectangular end panels feature front columns with gilt-gesso, female busts and carved feet while the the back columns are topped by removable, gilt and green-painted urns. Each column has casters on the underside. The interior of the front rail retains an old, if not original, paper label reading ‘Garde-Meubles / Odoul / 51. Rue Bichat / 1. Rue De Londres Paris’.
