Item Details

A vintage hand-knotted Persian Afshari wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrashed palette of sapphire, crimson, ivory, cobalt, walnut, sky blue, and wheat. The sapphire hued field features a dense boteh lattice, each infilled with a branched floral motif. Framing the field is a main floral meander border over a crimson ground, along with a pair of stylized carnation meander borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
