Item Details

A semi-antique hand-knotted Chinese Art Deco wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of indigo, sand, wheat, cobalt, custard, and mauve. It features an asymmetrical design of flowering and leafy branches, perched birds, vases with arrangements, and an intricately designed hanging lantern, all of which breaks over the open indigo hued field and solid sand colored floating border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and the remains of a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
