Item Details

A semi-antique hand-knotted Chinese Art Deco wool room sized rug. This slightly carved rug is rendered in a palette of sand, ivory, mocha, sky blue, sage, lavender, and salmon. The sand hued field features a tonal foliate design with with scrolling vine-work throughout, while framed in an ivory grounded main border that breaks over the field with colorful floral, leaf, and fret motifs. A wide solid band of a mocha hue also helps border the field. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and the remains of a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
