Hand-Knotted Heriz Wool Area Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted Heriz wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of rust, rose, ivory, wheat, powder blue, slate, and mulberry. The ivory colored field is lozenged over a rose hued ground featuring a large star pendant medallion and rectilinear designed flowering vine-work. Framing the field is a rust grounded stylized herati border, as well as floral meander guard borders, and minor barber pole strips. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
