American Federal Chest of Drawers, Early 19th Century

Item Details

A period American Federal chest of drawers, featuring mahogany veneers in a medium dark finish with flame mahogany veneers to the drawer facades. This piece is embellished with a shaped splash, ovolo corners and reeded columnar front stiles. The case has four full length stacked drawers with brass oval medallion pulls, serpentine apron skirt and rests on plainly turned legs that terminate to ball feet. Likely North shore Massachusetts, circa 1820s.
