1856 Elkington & Co. Sterling Lidded Crystal Jelly Jar with Sterling Spoon
Item Details
An antique sterling lidded crystal jelly jar by Elkington & Co. with a sterling silver spoon. The crystal jelly jar features lattice cut paneling and a domed sterling lid with embossed scrolling floral motif trim. It is hallmarked to its sterling lid and additionally marked with a passant sterling fineness mark, a Queen Victoria duty mark, a Birmingham anchor city mark, and an 1856 letter ‘H’ date mark. It is presented with a sterling spoon by Dominick & Haff, active from 1868 until 1928 in New York, New York; the spoon has an approximate weight of 0.475 ozt.
