An artist’s proof bronze sculpture by listed artist Santiago Rodríguez Bonome (Spanish; 1901 – 1995). The Art Deco work with green patina depicts a woman wrapped in a fringed floral scarf with a rose in her hair. The piece is dated 1979 to the base and is thought to be a later cast of an early 20th century work. It is signed in mold to the left of the base and marked to the verso of the base ‘Epreuve d’Artiste’ with a foundry mark that appears to read ‘Leblanc-Barbedienne a Paris’.
