A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Khamseh wool long rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of mauve to rose, black, cobalt, wheat, crimson, ivory, walnut, and turquoise. The field features a stepped diamond lattice design in alternating ground colors, while featuring branched floral devices. Framing the field is a main floral and boteh meander border with an ivory ground, along with a stylized rose vine border over cobalt. Helping frame the field are vine guard borders, a boteh minor border, and a diagonal stripe with sawtooth strips to the ends. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe with a striped kilim skirt to the ends. It is unlabeled.
