A vintage hand-knotted Anatolian Konya wool area rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of madder red, ice blue, fern, cobalt, carnation, ivory, saffron and mocha. The fern colored field begins with a large crenelated madder red lozenge infilled with a serrated pendant medallion and floral motifs, along with vine-work at the corners. Framing the field is a main carnation grounded stylized hexagonal border, as well as multiple floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe with a striped kilim skirt. It is unlabeled.
