Item Details
A Baroque style giltwood and painted floor screen, possibly Portuguese, late 19th century. The wooden, black- and red-painted frame features a flared, acanthine cornice above five pierced, foliate-carved panels surrounded by mother-of-pearl tesserae as well as grapevine borders. The stiles are embellished with pierced and tapered pendants continuing to a trestle base with scrolled-foliate braces and shoe feet ending in casters.
