A hand-knotted Pakistani Kazak carpet runner. This wool pile rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, sky blue, marigold, ebony, and buff. The field features an infinity pattern beginning with five starburst medallions arranged vertically, each medallion enclosing a gul with out-pointing arrows. Framing the field are two borders, including an unresolved major border featuring alternating boxed florets and geometric Shirvan-style bracket motifs. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges, a brief kilim skirt, and cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
