Sligh Grandfather Clock with Moon Phase Dial

A Sligh grandfather clock; with a curvilinear bonnet featuring a central shell motif, as well as fluted half columns while rising on a plinth base with bracket feet. The case also features a glass front door and side panels that house the lyre shaped pendulum and three weights. The ornate metal clock face has a gold tone over white finish, featuring scrolling foliate motifs, capped with an astrological moon phase dial. It displays gold toned Arabic numbers, fancy openwork hands, three key arbors, and side switches. The clock is marked ‘Sligh’ to the face, and has a registration plaque that is dated ‘1989’, the verso is marked ‘0820-1 6276’, Made in USA’. A personalized brass plaque is affixed to the clock case.
