A machine made Louis de Poortere Kadjar Belgian wool area rug. The rug features a palette of navy, cobalt, carnelian, carnation, and saffron on a carmine field. It features three large cartouche medallions on a field populated with geometric, floral, and foliate motifs. The field is framed within a compound border including cloud and floral motifs and is finished with machine bound selvedges and natural warp fringe. It is marked ‘Made in Belgium’ on a tag to the verso.
