Item Details
A hand-knotted Afghani Turkmen wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of deep red, black, indigo, and taupe. The field features six large-scale flower filled vases accompanied by scattered blooms. Framing the field is a main hooked sawtooth border with carnations protruding from either side. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled ‘Afghanistan’.
