Vintage Power Loomed Persian Style Hunting Rug

Item Details

A power loomed Persian-style wool area rug in a stylized hunting pattern. The rug has a large star medallion to the center field densely populated with figural images of hunters on horseback and wildlife, in-filled with florals and corner spandrels in a palette of yellow, light grey, garnet, cornflower blue, navy, pink, and cream on a peach colored field. The center field is wrapped with a primary border of repeating mythical figures flanked by secondary floral-filled borders. The rug is finished with attached fringe to each side. Unmarked.

- visible wear and discoloration to the wool from age and regular use.
- attached fringe is loose to the edges.
