Item Details

A vintage hand-knotted Caucasian Kuba wool area rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of indigo, cranberry, olive, sand, carnation, sky blue, and apricot. The indigo hued field features a repeated perpedil design, while framed to the ends in a star border. Framing the field as a whole is a main stylized kufic border over cranberry, along with laleh abbasi guard borders, diagonal striped minor borders, and another star border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
