Vintage Hand-Knotted Yomut Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Turkish Yomut accent rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in a palette of madder red, indigo, oche and ivory. It has a pair of hooked polygonal medallions, each infilled with diamond motifs. The field is populated with stylized branch forms and framed by a box chain guard border, while the primary border displays a resolved pattern of crescent shapes over sky blue. The rug is finished with double overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe. A label to the reverse reads ‘Made in Iran’.
