Semi-Antique Hand-Knotted Kurdish Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A semi-antique hand-knotted Kurdish wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of cobalt, carnation, cranberry, indigo, sand, and mahogany. The cobalt hued field begins with a central floral medallion on a pole with branch forms reminiscent of a tree of life, while accompanied with rosettes, sprays, and leaves. Framing the field is a cranberry grounded main border designed with branched elements and stylized pelt forms, as well as hooked S patterned guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and bound ends, one purposefully bound, while the other was cropped with reinforced stitches. It is unlabeled.
